50 worst songs, ever?

Today a student requested that the library get a new magazine subscription to Blender. I'm not familiar with the magazine as a whole, but their list of the worst 50 songs ever is pretty funny.

There are some on the list that I actually like (48. Obladi-oblada, Beatles, 42. Sound of silence, Simon and Garfunkel, 41. We didn't start the fire, Billy Joel, 29. Breakfast at Tiffany's, Deep Blue Something, 16. What's up, Four Non Blonds, 14. From a distance, Bette Midler, 12. Kokomo, The Beach Boys, 6. Heart of Rock and Roll, Huey Lewis and the News, and, yes, I have a warm fuzzy place in my heart for #1), and a ton of guilty pleasures that I can't even admit to.

There's lots of funny stuff, too: "Pop albums can’t really have sequels" (Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell II) and It's Great-Uncle Disgusting -- from Canada! (Bryan Adams).

If you'd like to request magazine or book titles, just let us know, we'll try to get them in the next order!
